About

I’m an artist means that I’m intent on addressing the language of that field, that I’m interested in form. (Suzanne Lacy)

Alice is an artist based in the UK, her creative practice tends to appear in civic spaces, inviting participation and public dialogue in shopping centres, town halls, libraries and squares. She has toured internationally and nationally, appeared in the British Council Showcase, run and curated community spaces. Now based in Bristol, typically she works in collaboration with other artists to create performances, exhibitions, installations, archives and diy art space.

She recently collaborated with sociologists, Junko Yamashita and Maud Perrier, to create Care and Control, a meeting space/exhibition sited in a shopping centre, inspired by feminist protest and collective care, supported by Brigstow Institute.

In 2022 Alice is woking on research project Private Weather Diaries, based on the Somerset Levels and Moors and in the Arctic Circle. This project addresses questions of extreme weather, enchantment and misinterpretation.
